There are so many things you can be doing right now, because I want you to reach your full potential. I know that social media is not going to help you achieve any of these listed items and would like to show you that you are capable of taking control of your life and tackling important actions will cause you great success in life!
1. Declutter
Decluttering your house is a big item on most peopleâs to-do lists. The garage has been sitting there waiting for some massive decluttering to happen. Lighten up those dark closets with a fresh sense of organization. Tackle your declutter chore all in one swoop, because if you look at the time you spend on social media, you couldâve built a whole house by now. Plus, who doesn’t like an organized house with lots of open space to allow everyone to breathe.
2. Read a book
When your mind is not being stimulated by new, productive information your mind is stagnant and itâs not being used to its full potential. Warren Buffet reads books about 7 hours a day. WHAT?? Yep. You read it right!! But somehow heâs claimed to be the richest man alive in the nation. So.. what does that say? If you want to become smarter and more successful, read books. If you were spending the time reading books instead of flipping through your feed, youâll have a 4 year bachelorâs degree.
3. Volunteer
Volunteering is not only good for the soul, and the community but it also advances your creative brain waves. When you volunteer youâre engaging with the local community and youâre seeing things in different ways. When youâre engaging in helping others youâre creative side is being formed. Now, when youâre at work, or working on a project at home youâll see things differently with a new fresh set of eyes. Youâll even have some juicy ideas come to mind about how to initiate social impacts around your community.
4. Goal setting
âIf you fail to plan, you are planning to failâ â Benjamin Franklin.
This is so true amongst everything we do. I once heard that one of the most successful attributes that one can have when trying to be successful is to plan every night for the next morning. When you wake you, youâre hitting the road running with a solid plan. Otherwise, you are planning to fail. Donât crawl through life without any goals and dreams planned out!
5. Exercise
If you spent the time sifting through social media by exercises instead, oh boy, you couldâve ran so many marathons, triathlons, 10ks, 5ks, bike races, swimming races, mountain climbing, itâs crazy! You couldâve been walking around with a six pack a loooooong time ago! Does that make you feel guilty? Itâs so true. Even if you spend 30 minutes a day on social media (which is really really low for most users), you can spend 30 minutes doing strength training videos at home via YouTube and lose weight, gain muscles, and look healthier than ever.
6. To-do list
You know youâve been starring at that to-do list for weeks now. Itâs old and decrepit. It looks like itâs been put in the fire and was resurrected to life. You have stuff on there from last season and itâs still hanging on for its dear life. If you turn off that social media, I bet you anything you can tackle that to-do list within a few days. Although your mind is telling you, that you donât have time, it should wait. NOO! Stop all with all those evil thoughts. Get up and take action.
