A little about myself.
I emigrated from Maykop, Russia with my family when I was 4 years old. My parents took their 3 little children, all under then age of 6, to a country where they had many unkowns with $600 in their pockets.
My dad went straight to college and I remember him taking his ESL classes at night and studying his English pronounciations very diligently. He got into the field of HVAC and over 20 years later he’s still a thriving immigrant entrepreneur.
I remember growing up on food stamps (a welfare government program in CA). My mom would take us to the food bank and we would pick up whatever food they had available for us. Practically all of our clothes were second hand and we grew up eating top ramen, pop tarts, cup of noodles, and of course, homemade food that my mom would make.
I remember growing up without a TV my entire childhood. My parents couldn’t support us with our homework and we had to rely on our next door neighbors to help us out. In fact, we learned Enlish when we were dropped off at grade school. We grew up in a Russian household and both of my parents spoke Russian to us.

My dad’s immigrant entrepreneur chat can be listened here.
My goal on this website is to inspire other immigrants to live out their dreams by pursuing entrepreneurial adventures.
Immigrant entrepreneurs today continue to build communities, provide jobs, innovate, serve their industry by creating solutions, and empower the people they are surrounded by.
My husband and I currently live in the beautiful Sacramento, CA.
Happy living!
