You are not born with the fear of touching fire, you learn that you’re not supposed to touch fire after you’ve touched it. You are taught that you need to look both ways before crossing the street, but you see kids run off into the streets all the time. Why? Because they have no fear!
The fear of heights, bodies of water, humans, animals, big houses, small houses, and so on are man made.
You can only overcome fear of swimming by taking swimming lessons.
If you have a fear of public speaking, you can only overcome it by taking action on taking roles to do speeches.
If you have a fear of horses, you learn to overcome them by taking the action of getting close to them. Allow the fear to float in the universe far away from your existence.
What about the fear of the unknown? Well, I’m not sure if I will drown, I’m not sure if the horse will kick me, maybe I’ll drown after entering the pool? First you need to visualize the act in your head. Allowing your mind to go places where you’ve never gone before will help you in taking those necessary actions. Then, taking action will be a lot easier to step into the unknown and it will cure your fears.
Get out there and start taking real actions by stepping into the unknowns, the stuff that looks scary, big and daunting. Because all that’s going to happen is you’ll see how easy it really is!
Your body will experience what your mind allows it to.
