Spoorthi is a native born, but she left to India with her family at 5 years old. She eventually came back to the States to study I.T. but she didn’t like her job out of college. She ended up quitting her corporate job and wanted something more for her life.
She had absolutely no plans, no plan A, no plan B but she went searching for it. In fact, she didn’t even have any side hustle income coming in.
Starting a coffee shop with her business partner was something, well, very spontaneous. She was 23 years old and she had so much energy and fire to figure it all out.
Both Spoorthi and her business partner didn’t have any experience running a business, or any experience even being a barista. You would think, that would be the first thing that they would do.. but that was definitely not their strategy!
The coffee shop, Hidden Grounds, now has 5 locations and 30 employees!
Quotes by Spoorthi
It’s always good to have someone to have bounce ideas from.
Asking for help is something that we all refrain from doing, we have the need that we need to figure this out ourselves. That is so not true.
I cannot be where I am and do what I am, without the fact that I’ve asked for help and gotten the help.
If you don’t have that strength and skill set, you have to find someone else that has it.
I don’t think I can do what I’m doing, in any other place (other countries).
You cannot get a place, like the US, where there is so much of that diverse possibilities with the people that you talk to and being able to create something that everyone likes, and everyone wants to have is a dream in itself.
Don’t let anyone stop you, and don’t be afraid to fail.
Don’t let anyone stop from dreaming!
