There are so many different coffee shops that open and close every single year. There is a plethora of new restaurants, nail shops, clothing stores, furniture stores, jewelry shops, and storage container businesses that open up in a given year. But there is one Poo Pourri, one Spanx, one Apple company, one Disney channel, one Microsoft, one GoPro, one Amazon, one TRX, one Netflix and the list continues.
All these companies were not solving problems for a typical consumer they were creating a need. The consumers didn’t even know the need existed!
Our lives were all just fine before any of these products existed, but when they came into the market we realized that the need was in fact there.
Nowadays, some people can’t live without the newly introduced products/services into their lives.
Don’t solve problems. Create needs that transform the way people live.
Opening a business to walk dogs isn’t going to help. Opening a business to walk dogs for seniors is going to transform their lives.
Another Uber/Lyft company isn’t going to help. But a company that transports kids from schools to gymnastics/soccer or after school sessions, and back home is going to transform the lives of parents.
Another food delivery company will not create any needs for the consumer. But a food delivery company that serves the sick, cancer patients, or anyone that is homebound and delivers healthy meals on the go will not only transform the patients’ lives but will also heal them!
You are filled with opportunities and ideas that will transform lives by creating needs. The world needs what your passions and talents can bring. There is so much to go around and the opportunities are endless. Don’t put limits on what you can offer this world.
