Many times as an entrepreneur you’re looking for ways to better your business, to start new strategies and to follow in someone’s footsteps (since they’ve done it quite successfully). You’re thinking to yourself, “If they did it, and were successful, then I can do the same thing.”
That is a deceiving thought that can get us caught up in a vicious cycle of “looking for new ideas.” So while you’re looking, searching and trying to follow someone else’s path you are steering your direction and focus away from creating and producing for your business.
One will say you need a membership site, one will say you need to sell masterminds, one will say you need events, one will say you need to have a YouTube channel, one will say you need to do Facebook ads, one will say you need a podcast, etc.. Everywhere you look there’s different advice!
The problem is, there is an abundance of different paths to take. So, you start to follow one advice, and then get caught up in someone else’s advice. You carry on this cycle because you are constantly “learning” the market and the niche. But that is not where success lies.
Start by choosing one path. Are you a blogger? Start blogging every single day and stop looking for ways to improve your blog because you will eventually get there.
Are you a podcaster? Start by being active in your market by releasing a podcast every single day.
Are you a vlogger? Do it every single day.
Stop with the “search” and start with the creating. Get focused and allow your mind to take over on the creating piece of your art. Here’s the cool thing: once you get the momentum going there’s no stopping. You’re on fire! You’re devoted, dedicated, and all the ‘d’s you can name!
