In any job when you come into work you need to first either check your emails or check in with your boss to see what the daily tasks/projects will be.
In any job, you routinely check your emails and keep your subordinates/managers up to date with the projects that you’re working on.
You keep all the significant players in the loop and that is the in keeping business rolling.
When you are on social media for personal experiences, you practically do the same exact thing.
Every morning when you wake up, you check your feed to see what you’ve missed in the world while you were snoozing.
You go on to respond to the comments that people left you, and you bounce back some exciting hashtags at them.
Throughout the day, because communication is so essential, you keep everyone in the loop on how your day is going, and post a significant title/hashtags to go with your post.
Every free minute you get, you’re checking out what the key players are up to and check in with them via posts/likes.
Before you go to sleep you check your feed one more time to see what you missed out, just as you did this morning.
The bad news is: you don’t get paid for this job. You are not compensated for all research you do on a daily basis by sifting through all sorts of feeds. You are not compensated for all the posts and likes you hit today.
So.. why are you still on social media? It’s a volunteer job that will never reward you.
Will you retire from this job for good?
