You think Bill Gates just got lucky and became a billionaire overnight? Just so you know he’s been programming for a total of seven years before he got his very first gig. And I mean programming for hours, nonstop, late hours, into the weekends, and at every single free moment he found available.
He did it for free, and never got paid for it. But he continued because he knew deep down on the inside that something will come out of it.
He became obsessed and he turned his obsession into his passion. That burning passion many years later was repaid by the billions.
But if the opportunities were given to him while he had no expertise, his life would’ve turned out drastically different.
Luck doesn’t come to you on a silver platter. Opportunities come your way when you are fully exposed in that field. When you immerse your all might and being into learning everything there is about that market/industry/field. When that’s the first thing you work on in the mornings and the last thing you finish off your days with. When that is all that you do on the weekends and that’s all you think about all day.
That’s when the opportunities are handed to you, not by luck but by being ready.
Opportunities are only given to those who are ready. Like the good Myles Munroe always says: are you hungry for a change?
Are you on fire to change your lineage for the better? Will you be ready for the next big opportunity when it comes your way or will you be stagnant?
