There’s been a common misconception on how we approach looking at time.
When get ready to leave the house for the day, we notice we have 15 minutes left to get ready. When we get to work, when we check the time to see how much time is left to head out for the day. Then we finish the day off when we get home, by keeping track of how much time is left until we need to go to bed.
In the absence of time, something amazing happens. When there is no time for us to constantly look at, we subconsciously know that we need to accomplish our tasks before the end of the hour, or before the end of the work day, etc.
This mentality allows you to be on constant high alert. This will drive you to the finish line a lot faster because you have no sense of time, and your mind will be programmed to believe that you only have a short amount of time to complete your tasks. So in reality, by looking at the time it slows us down.
We are faced with an 8 hour day to complete our tasks so we stretch out those 8 hours to the best of our abilities. Although it might take us a lot faster to complete our projects for the day, our mental process tends to slow down when we constantly check the time.
The absence of time drives us to be exponentially productive.
