Technology has come so far and itâs only going to continue to grow from here.
We see all sorts of cool inventions from smart phones, smart homes, smart cars, bluetooth enabled speakers, weight scales, toothbrushes, etc.
Everything is geared towards becoming wireless, to the point that our relationships are now becoming wireless as well.
The last few times I met new people they asked for my Instagram/Facebook page names rather than phone number… probably to stay “connected” wirelessly.
Corporations and agencies enable chat capabilities to allow better âcommunicationâ to their employees. That empowers the employees by being hooked to their chairs all day long. That enables them to minimize human to human interaction to the minimum.
We hook up our cars to Bluetooth and off we go being tuned in to our favorite music station/podcasts.
We hook up our wireless headphones to listen to our music while we work and become robots subconcsiously.
Our smart watches are hooked to our wrist so we never miss the next notification on our phones.
Iâm assuming within the next short years, humans will be wireless ready from head to toe.
But with all this new innovative tech gear, has that made us any smarter? Has it allowed our brains to grow? For some techy stuff it has, but for many it has changed the way we live our lives completely.
We are more in tuned with the world, but we become immune to the relationships with our loved ones that truly matter.
We are hooked to technology everywhere we go, but we are not aware of whatâs in front of us:
- Goals
- Dreams
- Present moments
- Nature
- Human to human interactions
- Health
- Mental awareness
So, when was the last time you picked up a book to read? When was the last time you went on a walk to enjoy the weather? When was the last time you picked up a journal to write in? When was the last time you wrote down your goals?
You donât need all the technology to accomplish your dreams. You only need the basics: cell phone, and a laptop.
All the other stuff is a mere distraction for accomplishing greater things in life.
You are capable and have full potential to tackle that side gig that youâve always wanted to give a try. You are capable to change your life for the better, to empower others and to teach what you love.
