If you talk about starting a business to someone thatās never done it before, itās a risk. You mean I need to go into the unknowns and take a risk thatās never been done before in my entire life? We exaggerate the process, we instantly get hit with paralysis by analysis and revert to our old and ānormalā ways.
What most people donāt know is that weāve been taking risks throughout our entire lives. When you go off to a new school, a new job, or move to another state/country, those are all risks we take and sometimes can cost us a lot of money.
Getting married to someone from another culture, background or country is a risk. Heck, just the though of getting married is a risk that many partake in. Getting into debt, is a risk but no one talks about it. The risks we take on a daily basis are actually pretty normal for us, but when it comes to the topic of becoming an entrepreneur, or living out our dreams, thatās a defined risk that very few want to walk into.
There is nothing wrong with taking risks and as a matter of fact that is how we grow, expand our creativity and create better places for our communities.
Since the word “risk” has a negative connotation, hereās a thought, donāt think becoming an entrepreneur is a risk and youāll be just fine. Train your mind to think itās a normal thing to do, just as getting married is, and just as getting an education is. If you want to live out your destiny, live out your purpose in life and become the person youāve always dreamed of, take a step into the unknowns to leave an impact on others.
