When I first started blogging I would post long and lenghty posts with a minimum of 1,000 words. That is what I was taught and learned from many top bloggers. I saw how they were successful so they must’ve been right!
Little did I know that I was dreading to write super LONG blog posts. It was not my passion and anytime I would sit down to write my post it would take me days to finish the post.
I was torturing myself by doing something based on other recommendations.
I discovered that I am a woman of few words. I changed my perspective and started to blog every single day (yes, a day or two is missed somehow) and the format of my posts are always: short and simple.
Somehow, I managed to have the time every night to post a blog and that became my true passion. Not only that, it gave me a boost in subscribers by a whopping 80% increase. I found that I can use my weakness of lengthy posts to produce the best content I can through short and simple blog posts.
Use your weaknesses to your advantage. Don’t follow someone else’s path of success. Take those weaknesses and serve others with the same mindset.
