Author Norman Vincent Peale of the book, “The Power of Positive Thinking” had an amazing example that he shared which transforms many lives around the globe.
He shared an example of when he encountered a man who was successful and Peale asked him about how he received all his success.
His recipe for success was:
- Visualize
- Prayerize
- Actualize
Visualize – Envision your life and how you want it to be. Not in the future but right now. Do you want to work from home? Do you want to lose weight? Do you want to go back to school and obtain a new degree? Do you want to get a promotion at work? Visualize and get into the deep thoughts and the subconscious mind that it will happen.
How big is your faith?
John 14:12-14 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
Matthew 9:28-29 When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” “Yes, Lord,” they replied. Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you”
Prayerize – God is the almighty God and He only wants a relationship with you. When you pray about your vision surrender your thoughts and plans to God and He will mold them perfectly as He sees best for you. No, He is not a genie but He has declared promises to us if we believe, have faith and seek the Holy Spirit to guide us.
Don’t take prayer lightly. Get on your hands and knees, have your face on the ground and seek for His will and wisdom for your life.
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Actualize – Thank God for what He’s set to do in the future. Set your thoughts and prayers on the fact that He’s already done as He’s promised. Walk daily with God and He will answer your prayers.
Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
