Humans tend to shy away from stressful environments like layoffs, loss of a job, being incarcerated, having a terrible record, but through those seasons life invites them on a new path. That is when we start generating thoughts of creativity, innovation and being a creator of something new.
Yes, I do mean incarcerated. After a prisoner is let go and has a new take on life, there are so many potential ways where they can start a business, write books, become their own TV host, become a passionate speaker, book editor, and the options are endless. Life does not end when crisis comes to your door.
I once heard of a story about a single mother who lost her job. The following weekend she had to attend her young sons friend’s birthday party. Since she didn’t have much money to get a gift, she whipped out a dusty sowing machine and hand made bow ties for the birthday boy. At the same party she had at least 5 other mother’s who became her clients!
In a matter of short amount of time the woman went from creating hand made bow ties in her small apartment to creating a brand new business on her own.
It’s only a matter of time where fight or flight kicks all the old habits away and a new journey is created.
But we can’t sit and dwell on the unpleasant experience we went through. Get up, start moving and get going with new adventures so that you will come out victoriously!
