First off, let’s get this right. At the Earth’s equator, the speed of the Earth’s spin is about 1,000 miles per hour. But that’s not fast enough for the humans that live on this Earth.
Here’s why.
If the Earth was truly spinning fast enough, we would have our heads down trying to accomplish everything possible in the 24 hours we get in a day, and in 365 days a year we get. It seemed like new years was just celebrated last week, but we’re already nearing March!
But no, we think we have all the time in the world to get to get to our dreams and hence that’s why we’re watching all the NetFlix shows possible, we’re on a marathon to post our lives on social media, make as many digital friends as possible and get connected with shopping deals online rather than focusing on our true mission in life.
If the Earth was really spinning fast enough we would not start our days with the daily news, and end our days with the nightly news.
No, the Earth is not spinning fast enough, because if it was, we would always be in a hurry to accomplish all the goals we write down. But wait, we don’t even write down our goals because life is a journey and we take it one step at a time. One day at a time. One year at a time. And then we’re 80 years old looking back.
I don’t know what you’re thinking if you think the Earth is spinning fast. It’s totally not. Because we are not in any hurry to launch our innovative minds into the creative space at all.
