The world will not stop moving if you quit reading/watching the news. No one will ask of you and no one will care if you are MIA.
If you are not Warren Buffet or your work doesn’t reflect what’s on the news daily, there’s absolutely no point in catching up on the news.
News is a form of a deadly distraction. It gets addicting, just as anything else on the web these days; from social media, NetFlix, YouTube, TV shows, to Amazon Prime Videos and all the other channels of pure entertainment.
Take a quick self-survey and reflect on how much time you’ve spent on catching up on the daily news in the last, say, 6 months to a year. Have any of the news stories you’ve read or watched made your life any better or have transformed your life in any way? I’m assuming that’s a quick, no.
Now, imagine if you could take the last 6 months back from all that wasted time. How would your life be different and how would you have used that time differently?
The brilliant news is, it’s not never too late to make a change.
