A little bit of news, a little bit of TV, a little bit of social media then you wake up being 80 years old and have no idea where your time went. You hide behind the ultimate and popular quote of all time: ātime fliesā as you mindlessly catch your favorite show on the TV.
I love the quote,
Both the beggar and the billionaire have the same 24 hours in a day
Mismanagement of time is something that everyone gets caught up in.
You come home from work, and you want to relax and unwind, so you grab your favorite electronic device and off you go into a phase of media entertainment. Next thing you know the day has slipped right underneath from you.
Mismanagement of your 24 hours comes in all sorts of madness. Catching up on your Snapchats, social media feeds, news, WhatsApp, video games, shows, Netflix so and so forth.
Is your life really going to be based off of how many followers you have, or how many likes you have? Do you base your happiness on how you curated your profile looks like on social media?
Everyone has the same amount of hours in the day, do you choose to be extremely productive or do you enjoy the ride from the backseat?
Kevin Hart works 6 days a week. Heās doing nonstop work that people donāt see behind the screens. Heās not successful because he inherited his success, but because while some people are wasting their time behind a screen on entertainment, heās out there hussling away and pushing hard towards his dreams. Somehow he manages to do comedies, tours, movies, stay fit, have a wife and 3 kids all at the same time.
The amazing thing is, everyone can be passionate about their 24 hours as well, and become as successful as they want to be!
No, I’m not dismissing the relaxation part of life, sure it’s important for the well being and life IS too short. But don’t you think the nation as a whole is relaxing way too much?
